Is it just me... Or is Yugi's voice REALLY reminiscient of Wally from Monkey Island? (Well, from Curse of Monkey Island, since he didn't really have a voice before that...)
Especially in Ep 6.

They're great, but... Dub Piece strikes me as far more fall-off-your-chair-laughing than this. :P

Dub Piece was the worst piece of... junk, that I've ever watched. Unfunny jokes and the audio quality is so horrible my ears bleed.

This is both funny AND well done. The audio doesn't sound nearly as bad and the jokes are humorous.

It's just an opinion. All opinions are equally dismissable on the internet.

I thought the Yugioh dub was pretty funny and personally, I didn't find Dub Piece very funny. I think fandubs are at their best when they take scenes that are to be interpeted as normal or serious and make them humorous. Didn't watch all of the Dub Piece, but I would think that the filler episodes would make excellent fodder if they haven't been used already.

But Dub Piece has more charm for me. The characters, as well as mocking the TV Show, have their own memorable accents. And the random stuff they throw in is cool, too.

But it's just me.

I like how in the 7th episode they made fun of 4Kids for using crappy puns, and "Kaiba" saying the "You don't stand a ghost of a chance!" line like 50 times in the same episode. They seriously did that in the dub.

Anzu: I think I'm pregnant, and Weevil is the father.

Anzu: Yugi, I think I'm pregnant, and Bakura is-
Yugi: No fucking way!

Honda: Yugi, I think I'm pregnant, and you're the fahter.

Yugi: Wait a minute, did any of that stuff actually happen?

Yami Yugi: Are you saying that you died and came back as a ghost just to beat me at a card game? Either this is a trick or this show is alot dumber than I thought.

Yami Yugi: Time out. Does anyone actually believe for a second that this is Kaiba's ghost?

Though the entire episode "recap" was sweet.

But anyway, I guess there needs to be some "transition" sort of eps that lead the plot along... without having quite as many witty jokes...
