These names of generations are a shorthand to try and clasify us for our life experiences.

For example, millenials while some people try to asing a date, it's actually for those who's the technological advancements of the internet arrived during our youth, and different countires and social strata will mean diferent ages. The generation after ours is about that change never existing.

Only in the sense that Millenials actually remember that surreal time frame where the Internet did not exist but started to permeate everything. Gen Z were born straight into that Wi-Fi reality techno bubble. That makes us living historical time capsules.
