Well this looks eerily familiar. I wonder why the last couple of threads that tried the very same thing were closed? Could it have something to do with the fact that, after a while, posting trash starts to get upsetting and blatantly dull.
Even if it's still April 1st for some of you, please don't go to extremes with it. As a rule, the celebration should be fun and unoffending.

Don't do any genre that ends with -core. Those are pretty crappy nine times out of ten.

Hardcore, grindcore, early metalcore, mathcore and (though it's completely unrelated) slowcore. Those are all pretty good. Just stay away from later metalcore, deathcore and a legion of -core genres that people make up, even though they don't mean anything.
