I'm still kind of confused about this, but either way, it sounds interesting if not really, really strange.
And before anyone asks, no, this is not an April Fools prank.

I have mixed feelings about this. But I reserve full judgment I see a trailer of some kind.
Not expecting anything good from a moe Charlie Brown.
This was just a matter of time, really.
doesnt say anything about an anime, just that they're doing the animation for a short

Do you hear the whisper men? The whisper men are near.
If you hear the whisper men, then turn away your ear.
Do not hear the whisper men, whatever else you do.
For once you've heard the whisper men, they'll stop and look at you.
Yeah it's just a short, but seriously, if MADHOUSE does expand on this with like an actual anime TV show of "Peanuts" I will shit myself with joy.
Wow, this is both a must see, AND I have to show it to my mom at one point. Now I just wonder if she'll watch it and be entertained, horrified, or just confused.
Eventually all Shonen will get the Dragonball Kai treatment. I'm currently awaiting the perfection that will be One Piece with no filler whatsoever.
I'm also awaiting Bleach Kai. It will be the greatest joke in anime when it's ends in under 50 episodes. It'll be a great laugh.
Well, this could be interesting. Shall wait and see.

This is far from the first time a Japanese anime studio has done work on Western products. Sunrise and TMS Entertainment did work on Batman TAS, for instance.
I admit, I cracked up.
TMS did a lot of work on American cartoons back in the 80s and 90s, same with Toei Animation. TMS is pretty well-known for their work on "Tiny Toons" and "Animaniacs"
The group that would go on to become Studio Ghibli animated the Last Unicorn.
its really not a new thing.
