    Imagine a Shingeki action game---the 3D gear would be a headache getting right, unless it's relegated to a passive/automatic movement skill (think Spiderman with auto-aiming webs). If this were on a console, the controls would have to be pretty detailed/sensitive or lose a lot of freedom. We could have something like an Assassin's Creed-style context based controls or something.

    You've never played Lost Planet before have you? They have a grapple mechanic pretty much like this.

    You can even grapple onto giant monsters to shoot their weakpoint.

    I went to look at a couple gameplay videos---it's a grappling mechanism, sure, but it looks like it's just a linear pull-in. The scouting legion might need something a bit more complicated for all those movements. Imagine the first Eren vs colossal titan fight a few eps back in the anime, with Lost Planet's grappling mechanic. :/

    It's really not much further from that though. I just realized what would make that game amazing though.

    A team plays as the Titans and a Team plays as humans (with maybe one or two titans). I can't think of anything more fun than that.

    On one end I'd like the experience the Spider-man like action and hack and slash

    On the other hand I'd like to play RTS so I can see all these units getting chomped on, giving a god's-view of the whole hopeless destruction and despair.

    if you've ever played Spider-man 2 for the ps2/gamecube, then I'd imagine controlling the 3D movement would be like that, except with a reel-in and reel-out mechanic.

    So... a Shingeki version of Left 4 Dead? I'd play that.

    Yeah, that's what I was imagining would be hard to implement/control. Let's say you have two trigger buttons, one for each cord. How would you aim them? Or for a simpler layout, one trigger controls both cords and the game automatically decides which to use+where to aim.

    I feel it wouldn't really be playable without significant hand-holding, unless you dual wield Wii-motes or something (and specialized controllers would be too gimmicky).
