Thread: The Arlong Park Official General Discussion Thread

Good idea for a thread, but I can't help but feel this is just the new home of spam from the naruto thread.

Either way the pro's will probably outweigh the cons....hopefully.

    Algebra? A breeze?

What? It's so hard for me. I can't add letters!!!!!!!!

Which is weird, because if you give me a Geometry problem, I can do it with very little trouble. And I've had people say it's harder than Algebra. Like I believe that.

Don't even get me started on....

Our current topic: School/College Stress and Life.

    Please stay on topic everyone.

EDIT: Middle/high school can be included. Those no longer in class are, of course, free to discuss previous experiences.

Dryish, may I ask what school do you go to? Upper secondary school, vocational school, something else?

EDIT: Nevermind, got the answer already.

Well actually, I like geography. Atleast the cultural side of it. And the finnish education system requires every single upper secondary school student to go through atleast two obligatory geography classes, so..

It's not the geography that's killing me. It's the writing. I wrote approximately 5 pages of text today and it was boring as.. School. Luckily I'm almost done with the assignment already, so I don't have to worry anymore.

A normal (one of the top 60) upper secondary school. I'm not suited for vocational school at all.

Nothing's really been giving me trouble recently, as I've not really had a lot of assignments this semester. I am notoriously bad with keeping up with outside readings, though.

Later on this semester, I have a bunch of big presentations all bunched together, so I'm assuming that those are going to be a bitch.

Geometry was also a breeze. Hey Insider, what are you planning to do with your CS degree?

Can some of you intelligent people donate some brain cells to me so I'd be able to pass my Math class?

Sorry. I experience a similar thing with Computer Science. I love actually working on programs and building things from scratch, but I hate the logic and math that go with it.

A lot of computer stuff comes naturally to me, and when I actually have to think about how I do the stuff I do, my mind starts to fry.

I'm planning on entering the game development field. I'll also be writing on the sideline. Which ever takes me further will be my future.

I'd offer my brain cells if I didn't need them for English.

    I hate formal writing.

Ugh, I'm in a formal writing class now. It's from 6:30 to 9:00 at night. Nothing feels dumber than being a class that says, "BE SURE TO WRITE YOUR RESUMES LIKE THIS, BLAH BLAH BLAH", and then stepping OUT of that class, and your day is already over.

    Only on Thursdays though.

At least my teacher makes it fun. I read this short story that had me in stitches. Orientation by Daniel Orozco. I've been wanting to parody that story with this site somehow.

No, because I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time I've said that you're my fucking twin.

When I do go back to school, I wanna try and major in pastry arts. As much as I like cooking regular food, I have always had a soft spot for baking.
