It's not so much the characters that's bothering me about a new series. It's the fact that the Thundercats are teens and are supposed to be in a rock band when not fighting supervillians. Which means emo and crappy music.

I can certainly understand the re-design of the Thundercats, I just don't know where the story will go. I thought the He-Man remake was pretty cool because it was very close to the original's story. I didn't really watch the Thundercats much though.

Thundercats wasn't American animation anyway, it was produced and edited in the US but all the animation was done in Japan, just like Transformers.

Yeah, I know, Miyazaki hired the Japanese team that worked for Rankin-Bass, and then they formed Studio Ghibli. They also were the ones that worked on stuff like the old Tolkien animations and The Last Unicorn.
