Thing is my husband and I have already performed umrah twice and hajj once, but I really really miss Saudi D: the longing to return to Makkah is intense. And even outside Makkah to be honest, would be nice too see Riyadh too where it's not full of hujjaj all the time. Each time we went we were always with groups but I would think that we can handle it on our own now, only thing I was nervous about was getting super ripped off for transportation to Makkah since neither of us speak Arabic lol. I was thinking that it would be at least 300 but 200 is pretty great~

I heard the construction inside the Haram is like still pretty hardcore? Or do you know if they're just working on the new parts now? Last I was there in 2014 for hajj they had mostly finished the new area near safa & marwa.

Yo, I wonder if you would know something I've been curious about. There's been some crazy cheap flights from my city to Jeddah in the next few months so I know people who are gonna get their umrah visas and just fly on their own to do umrah.

Question is: What's the most common way for non-Arabic speakers to get to Makkah from the Jeddah airport if they aren't in travel groups with chartered busses? I heard uber is actually common now?
